Las Vegas, NV. March 5, 2017 – It was another beautiful Sunday morning for “Team LVSA” at the Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) 7th annual “Cancer Climb.” Members of the team were led by Honorary Hike Leaders John & Michelle Neu. The hikers were loaded onto vans and transported by “Team Strunk” to Red Rock Canyon.

The 2017 Climb was sponsored by LVSA vendor members; Esthechoc, Zenoti and The Dumbell Man. Proceeds benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Event Chair Jessica Catanzaro was very pleased, “I was so proud of our hikers, our biggest climb yet and we hope for more next year!”

The post hike party was highlighted by the uniform MeUndies hoodies refreshments and numerous raffle prizes for the lucky winners in attendance. LVSA Board member, Deeba Haq stated, “My staff always looks forward to this event, a fantastic day supporting a very important cause.”

LVSA names 2017 Cancer Climb Hike Leaders

“Team LVSA” Hike Leaders John and Michelle Neu

Las Vegas, NV. January 21, 2017 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) is proud to announce John and Michelle Neu will be honorary Hike Leaders at the 2017 Cancer Climb on March 5th.

Michelle was diagnosed in January of 2014 with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She immediately entered the hospital to start chemotherapy and after several months a donor was identified for Michele and she entered UCLA Hospital in Westwood in July 2014 for her stem cell transplant. After 37 days she was released and began her long road to recovery.

Michelle and John recently were presented with their “Team LVSA” gear and special VIP gift package from LVSA vendor member NeuLASH. Recovered, Michelle enjoys spending time with her two sons and two grandchildren and is getting in shape for the climb.

“John is really the one that needs to get off the sofa! Thank you for this honor and the opportunity to help the LVSA help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.”

2016 LVSA Awards

Las Vegas, NV, December 15, 2016 – This was an outstanding evening for the Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) and the largest most luxurious spas in the world. The LVSA held their yearend Awards Night at the Sayers Club at the SLS Las Vegas home of the new Away Spa at the W Hotel.

LVSA NextStep Event 2016

nextstep-lv-sports“Tough Love” 2016 Supports Local Charity
Las Vegas, NV. October 9, 2016 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) held their 4th annual charity event called “Tough Love Fitness.”  Super Trainer Steve Maresca led the “Team LVSA” class through a modified “cross-yoga-stretch-fit” workout.

The event raised funds for NextStep Fitness which assists persons living with paralysis and other physical disabilities.  NextStep in turn provided a donation check to the Paralympic Sport Club of Las Vegas.

Event Co-Chair Nicole Halverson, Spa Director from The Mirage recruited participants from LVSA member vendors and spas.

The 50 minute energy charged class event took place outside at the South Point Casino and Spa pool area and TEAM LVSA raised over $4000. The event was sponsored by The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment.For more information on NextStep please visit: www.nextstepfitness.org
