Las Vegas, NV. June 14, 2023 – On June 12, 2023, Governor Lombardo signed SB161 into law, making Nevada the first state to enact the Interstate Massage Compact. Nevada is the first state in the nation to adopt the Interstate Massage Compact (IMpact).

IMpact allows massage therapists who maintain an active, unencumbered license in the compact member state where they reside to apply for a multistate license.

LVSA Board Member Dierdre Struck, Senior Vice President Wellness Clubs and Spa Operations at Canyon Ranch assisted the Interstate Massage Compact Project Team. LVSA Director of Community Outreach, Kate Wind stated, “We are all extremely proud of Dierdre, her support for the Project Team and our spa community.”

2023 Climb For Hope

“Team LVSA” at the Red Rock 2023 Climb for Hope.

Las Vegas, NV. March 26, 2023 – “Team LVSA” went climbing again at the 11th annual “Cancer Climb for Hope.” Members of the team were led by LVSA Board Member Marcus Keene from Wynn and Encore Las Vegas. The hikers gathered at Red Rock Resort before the climb at Calico Basin in Red Rock Canyon.

The Climb again featured a team of spa members, vendors members, friends, and family. The LVSA collected over $4000 in donations to the City of Hope National Medical Center. Former City of Hope patient and LVSA President, Michael Garvey stated, “I’m just happy with the great turnout and support. Another awesome day.”

Goat Wine Yoga 2022 Supports NextStep Fitness

Las Vegas, NV. November 1, 2022 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) the 8th annual charity event for Next Step Fitness. The Goat Wine Yoga “Team LVSA” class was led local Yoga phenom Francis DeAsis.

The event raised funds for NextStep Fitness which assists persons living with paralysis and other physical disabilities. NextStep collaborates locally with the Las Vegas non-profit Driven NeuroRecovey Center.

LVSA Board Chair, Jennifer Lynn stated, “We are extremely proud to support NextStep again this year and excited to have members, friends and family participate in Goat Wine Yoga.”

Event Co-Chairs Michelle Wilkos and Adriana Alvarez organize the goats, participants, and prizes. The class was followed by a reception and raffle.

The 45-minute energy charged yoga class event took place outside at the South Point Casino.

Las Vegas, NV. March 20, 2022 – “Team LVSA” reassembled after three years for the 10th annual “Cancer Climb for Hope.” Members of the team were led by LVSA Board Chair Jennifer Lynn from Awana Spa at Resorts World.  The hikers gathered at Red Rock Resort before the climb at Calico Basin in Red Rock Canyon.

The Climb also featured team members from Professional Massage. Their contribution helped Team LVSA surpass $4000 in donations to the City of Hope National Medical Center.  Former City of Hope patient and LVSA President, Michael Garvey stated, “I’m just happy to be able to get everyone together again, it was an awesome day.”

The post-hike party was highlighted with a raffle drawing with free products provided by select LVSA vendors, blue bears, and balloons for the kids.
