2024 LVSA Awards

Las Vegas, NV, December 12, 2024 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) held the 2024 Awards Night at the Mandalay Bay Resort again this year. 2024 marked the first presentation of the LVSA Legacy Award. Ms. Deirdre Strunk was the first-time winner for her tireless efforts to support both the Las Vegas spa community and the spa industry for the past twenty years.

Ms. Jennifer Lynn Dean from Fontainebleau Las Vegas was named Spa Director of the Year for her leadership, dedication, and many years of support of the LVSA as Board Chair.

 

The Team from South Point Casino led by Ms. Adriana Alvarez, was presented with the Bill Ochoa Humanitarian Award for their outstanding annual support of the “Goat Yoga” and Llama-Maste Yoga” exercise class benefiting NextStep Fitness.

 

Aldo Celeste, VP of Spa Development-Sales at Knesko, won the vendor Award for Outstanding Member. Aldo was recognized for supporting and promoting the LVSA Socials, Luncheons and Charity events.

 

Mr. Chris Schroeder, Spa Operations Manager at Cosmopolitan Las Vegas was named the winner of the Spa Dedication Award for his dedication, and support of the spa staff and resort guests, as well as numerous LVSA events.

 

The LVSA was started in 2002 as a networking solution for Las Vegas Spa directors, buyers, and vendors. LVSA celebrated the 20th anniversary with B2B socials, vendor luncheons and charity fundraisers. LVSA President Michael Garvey is available for media requests and spa tour arrangements.

Las Vegas, NV, December 14, 2023 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) held the 2023 Awards Night at the Mandalay Bay Resort again this year. Ms. Toni Dean from the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas was named Spa Director of the Year for her leadership, dedication, and many years of supporting the LVSA.

 

The Team from The Mirage led by Ms. Christell Vicens, was presented with the Bill Ochoa Humanitarian Award for their outstanding support of Cancer Climb for City of Hope and the “Goat Wine Yoga” exercise class benefiting NextStep Fitness.

 

Ms. Jessica Wadley, VP of Business Development-Integrative Health & Wellness Division at Oakworks, won the vendor Award for Outstanding Member. Jessica was recognized for her support and promotion of the LVSA within Las Vegas and the national spa community.

 

Ms. Ashley Hashimoto from Encore Las Vegas was named the winner of the Spa Dedication Award for her work ethic, dedication, and support of the spa staff and resort guests.

2022 LVSA Awards

Las Vegas, NV, December 15, 2022 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) celebrated its 20th Anniversary and held the 2022 Awards Night at the Mandalay Bay Resort. Mr. Jeff Wescott from the Golden Nugget Las Vegas was the named Spa Director of the Year for his leadership, professionalism, and support of the LVSA.

 

The Team from Professional Massage was presented with the Bill Ochoa Humanitarian Award for their outstanding support of both the 2022 Cancer Climb for City of Hope and the “Goat Wine Yoga” exercise class benefiting NextStep Fitness.

 

Ms. Liz Lesser (pictured center) from Elle Concepts won the vendor Award for Outstanding Member. Liz, a LVSA Board Member, was recognized for her unending support and commitment to the Association members.

2019 LVSA Awards

Las Vegas, NV, December 19, 2019 – The Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) held the 2019 Awards Night at the Sahara Las Vegas. Ms. Erika Valles from Wynn & Encore was the named Spa Director of the Year for her leadership at the two five-star spas.

Laura Loza from the Bellagio was presented with the Bill Ochoa Humanitarian Award for her work as co-chair of both the 2019 Cancer Climb for City of Hope and the “Goat Wine Yoga” exercise class benefiting NextStep Fitness. The award was marked by a special donation to the World Wild Fund.

A special Community Support Award was presented to the Team from Professional Massage for their continued support of the numerous LVSA charities. A check for $2000 was presented by the Team to Board Member Deidre Strunk to kick off the 2020 Cancer Climb.
